I had the honor of meeting the lovely Sofia for her ballet portraits at the Legion of Honor in May. From the moment we chatted over Zoom, I just knew that we were going to have so much fun during her session. Sofia was the epitome of grace, elegance, and class. To top it off, she was so down-to-earth!
We chose to met on a weekday during one of her few off days for the year. If you know dancers, it’s that they are so incredibly dedicated to their craft, spending long hours in the studio perfecting their technique. They make the most difficult repertoire appear to be a walk in the park. As we moved through the various outfits and poses of the session, it was apparent that Sofia was not only passionate about dancing, but that her commitment to perfection was unwavering. Her movements were refined, controlled, and yet so effortless. I would gasp under my breath as she glided into each pose, and I knew that my Contax645 would do her justice in creating images that I had envisioned in my mind.
Thank you, Sofia, for making the trek out to the city with your family for your ballet portraits at the Legion of Honor! I had such a wonderful time and look forward to seeing you grow as a ballet dancer and individual. You are simply beautiful inside and out!
