Maternity

May 24, 2023

In the recent months, California woke up from its long winter slumber. We all breathed in the warm air and stretched our limbs, eager to welcome the coming of spring. Boy, did the flowers put on a show this year! Everywhere we looked was an explosion of color. It couldn’t have been a better time for the George family to plan their maternity session in Walnut Creek. It was a no brainer that their portraits would take place among the beautiful, local wildflowers, and I, as the photographer, was ecstatic at the opportunity to capture some nostalgic images on film for them.

Mama chose a soft, linen dress feature little florals by Sleeper as a nod to the landscape. We packed a yummy little picnic and spent a lovely afternoon frolicking among the lupines of Walnut Creek. Photographing this family couldn’t have been easier. When you have so much love brimming over, I simply get to stand back and be an observer. In fact, many of my favorite captures from this session were the umprompted moments when they were just interacting with each other and not paying attention to me.

Thank you, Anelyse and Brian, for stepping in front of my camera with your little ones and giving me the opportunity to tell your story through my lens!
