I had the immense privilege of meeting the Ratkovich family at one of my favorite locations in San Jose to photograph their family portraits. Set among the orchards and rolling hills of Silicon Valley, this little nook had juuuust the right amount of glow that we needed as our backdrop to a casual, joy-filled family session!

Cristina opted for matching outfits from Rylee and Cru for her and baby girl, and brought along the perfect sun hat as an accessory. We strolled the grounds of the park, played with baby, and chatted about life during Covid as well as the early days of motherhood.

This season is so precious — you and your partner leaning on one another as you navigate an entirely new world of raising another human being. There is steep learning curve, to be sure, but the memories that come along with it are oh-so-sweet. Max and Cristina were the epitome of doting and thoughtful parents. Even from our short time together, there was no question that their daughter was in the best of hands.

I cannot wait to see her story unfold as the years go on, and what a privilege it was to have been able to take part in telling the legacy of this darling family.
